EXTERNALLY ATTACHED ACCESSORIES USING THE UNIQUE SMART.POLE TRACK MOUNTING SYSTEM.
The SMART.POLE has a track-based system that relies on a unique aluminium extrusion to achieve its functionality. Accessories fix to the pole by utilising this track which provides a discrete connection detail. This is a truly multi-functional system that accommodates a range of pole mounted accessories and devices.

The most common external accessories attached to the SMART.POLE include long-arm traffic outreaches, street lighting and signage. The SMART.POLE’s height range is taken advantage of through the use of dual banners, variable message signage (VMS) and other signage outreaches, being the perfect companion for public messaging and advertising.
The SMART.POLE is also a suburban pole solution for moderate traffic areas. Its smaller scale option makes this suite a more efficient option for suburban roads which do not require heavier external attachments. The shorter 5m SMART.POLE commonly mounts streetlight outreaches, street name signs and banners.

The SMART.POLE was conceived in 1997 as part of the ambitious streetscape upgrade program that was planned in preparation for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The simple intent was to develop a multifunction pole system that would allow multiple accessories to be accommodated on a single pole, thus reducing the infrastructure clutter on footpaths that typically accumulate in any busy and growing city.
Since its inception, the SMART.POLE continues to be successfully deployed throughout the City of Sydney and many other councils around Australia and internationally. It continues to meet the evolving needs demanded of a truly multifunction pole system in contemporary urban environments. HUB is currently the exclusive provider of this successful, patented, and proven
system.
The SMART.POLE won an Australian Design Award in recognition of its originality and novelty of this new product category.
